As an Allied Universal Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control at key entry points, greet and screen visitors and drivers, verify credentials, and document activity. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents while providing clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and delivery or pickup documentation; manage visitor registration, badge distribution, and key and/or equipment sign-out logs as required.
  • Control entry and exit for pedestrians and vehicle traffic, including monitoring gates, docks, and designated access points; help to deter unauthorized entry by checking authorizations and reporting irregularities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site-specific emergency response activities and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, access logs, and observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
