You will complete routine patrols, document security-related observations, and communicate clearly with staff and guests to help reduce incidents. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Requirements

• Have a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have a TSA issued TWIC.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a utilities location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, badges, and authorization; issue temporary credentials as directed; and maintain required logs and reports.
• Screen and process visitors, deliveries, and service vendors by confirming work orders, coordinating with site contacts, and directing traffic flow to authorized areas.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other access control systems; report irregular activity; and communicate updates to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and documenting actions taken.
