As a Security Officer - Access Control Plant in Brookwood, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
- Monitor and manage access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
- Document and report any unusual activity, security-related breaches, or incidents according to site-specific guidelines.
- Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to support security-related objectives and maintain a secure environment.
- Assist with visitor and contractor verification processes, verifying identification and logging entry as required by site procedures.
