About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Whitakers, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will support access control and daily security-related operations. You will greet employees and visitors, verify identification, manage badges and entry logs using a computer or tablet, and perform routine patrols to help identify concerns and help to deter incidents. Bring clear communication and customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

• Have Security Experience ‐ 6+ Months.
• Be 21+ Years of Age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
• Customer Service Experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; document unusual activity and notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision based on post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident documentation and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or first responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property damage.
