About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Fountain Inn, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, manage badges, and support alarm panel response while using a computer or tablet to document activity. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver excellent customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Control entry and exit for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing the visitor log, and directing guests to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems, report irregular conditions, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following post orders, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services, and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, exterior grounds, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
