Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Dresden, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a critical utilities location supporting access control and visitor management. As a Security Officer, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, maintain logs, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering professional customer service. Requirements
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and personnel by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Perform access control duties including greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
- Monitor entry and exit points and security-related systems as assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting maintenance or operational concerns through the chain of command.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance and coordinating with site contacts and/or local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, operations areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
