Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and manage access for employees and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment and upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and/or visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting personnel and/or visitors with access procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Follow all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to access control and security-related operations within a chemical and petrochemical setting.
