Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and manage access for employees and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment and upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and/or visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting personnel and/or visitors with access procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Follow all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to access control and security-related operations within a chemical and petrochemical setting.
