As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Lakeland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a food and beverage production environment, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone onsite. Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, following established guidelines and procedures.
- Communicate security-related information and updates to appropriate personnel and management.
