Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Lakeland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a food and beverage production environment, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone onsite. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, following established guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate security-related information and updates to appropriate personnel and management.
