As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Champaign, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Verify credentials and/or identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or breaches in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders when appropriate to address security-related situations.
