As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances, manage badge access, and help to deter security-related incidents through attentive presence and routine patrols. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the distribution facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions related to access procedures.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client site management.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions as required.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or property damage within the logistics and distribution environment.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including evacuations or access restrictions.
