About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Gatehouse in Accomac, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer, you will play a key role in access control and loss prevention at a leading food and beverage location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Assist in maintaining a secure environment by observing and reporting any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns around the premises.
Provide customer service to all personnel and guests by responding to inquiries and offering assistance as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report all incidents, irregularities, or breaches of protocol according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
Support emergency response activities as required, collaborating with site personnel and local authorities when appropriate.
