As an Allied Universal Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will manage access control by greeting guests and staff, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, respond to questions and/or concerns with calm customer service, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and/or vendors at a hotel and resort location by carrying out post orders, access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Monitor for irregular activity through observation and/or available systems, and help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or property damage by maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance within scope and notifying site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and shift turnover communication, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
