About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Access Control in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, verify identification, issue and/or monitor badges, and guide visitors and drivers to the right destinations. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support loss prevention efforts, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges and/or credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing authorized persons to the proper areas.
• Monitor gates, doors, dock areas, and other controlled access points through patrols and/or assigned post duties to help to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly operations.
• Respond to incidents, access violations, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
• Complete required documentation such as shift activity reports, access logs, and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
