About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Gatehouse in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas per site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with clinical staff and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disruption, and report issues through required notification and documentation channels.
- Complete required reports and documentation related to access activity, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
