As an Allied Universal team member assigned to an access control post in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit, following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Perform identification and verification checks for individuals entering or exiting the location, maintaining accurate access records.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and/or staff with access-related inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any observed irregularities.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as required.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences in detailed reports according to site guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities, including following evacuation and lockdown procedures when appropriate.
