Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor logs, and by issuing and collecting passes and/or credentials as required by post orders.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, assist with directions and resident requests, and report suspicious activity or policy concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or property management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entrances, and the property perimeter, and complete required reports, logs, and shift handoffs.
