As an Access Control Officer at a premier automotive location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and support security-related screening and incident reporting. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and deliver customer-focused service while partnering with site teams in a caring, people-first culture built on integrity, agility, and innovation. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by checking credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing approved traffic to designated areas.
  • Screen and process deliveries and service vehicles by verifying appointments, documentation, and authorized access, and escalating discrepancies according to site procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting events, and supporting first responders as directed by site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter, reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues through approved reporting channels.
