Unarmed Security Officer - Access Control Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government waterfront location supporting an access control post where you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and conduct routine rounds to help identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of security experience is required.
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and personnel at a government location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders.
- Operate access control posts by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing keys and/or badges, maintaining entry and exit logs, and controlling vehicle and pedestrian access.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and access control systems; report irregular activity and document events according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or public agencies when needed and complete detailed reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, checkpoints, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
