About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Access Control in Boca Raton, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community where you will support access control at entry points, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and manage visitor and delivery logs. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a guard card
• Minimum of 6 months of security experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at designated community access points by verifying identification, authorizations, and/or visitor purpose, and directing traffic in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor cameras, gates, intercoms, and/or alarm panels as assigned, and report unusual activity consistent with security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and notifying site leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting and reporting concerns per policy.
