About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Little Rock, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer on an access control post at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage entry points, greet tenants and visitors, verify credentials, and communicate clearly with property teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with patrols and quick responses to security-related concerns across the site. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Control access to the property by staffing an entry point, greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to approved destinations.
  • Monitor access points including doors, gates, and/or loading areas and report access-related issues such as propped doors, damaged locks, or unauthorized entry attempts.
  • Maintain visitor, contractor, and/or delivery logs, including sign-in and sign-out documentation and key, badge, and/or access card accountability as required by site procedures.
  • Operate security-related systems such as access control software, intercoms, and/or CCTV to support controlled entry and document noteworthy activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, elevator entrapments, and/or tenant concerns, and notify appropriate parties per site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, lobbies, parking areas, and/or perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Provide assistance with after-hours access requests, contractor check-ins, and/or deliveries while following authorization requirements and escalation procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports including incident reports, shift activity logs, and/or access control documentation in a timely manner.
  • Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and/or public responders during routine operations and escalated events, using radios, phones, and/or email as directed.
