About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Lakewood, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service to all personnel and visitors. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential threats.
Document and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents in accordance with site procedures.
Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, supporting evacuation or lockdown procedures when required.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
