About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Mc Intosh, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Staff access control points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing and collecting badges, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, and maintaining required access logs.
  • Control vehicle and delivery access at entry gates by checking credentials, validating scheduled shipments, directing drivers to designated routes and staging areas, and documenting inbound and outbound traffic.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts, documenting events, and supporting on-site response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
