Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a government location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
Monitor access points, screen authorized personnel and visitors, maintain visitor logs and badges, and help to deter unauthorized entry through consistent adherence to post orders and policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, facility issues, and other security-related matters, with working conditions that may vary by site.
