As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, you will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and controlling entry points and conducting regular patrols. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver outstanding customer service and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols specific to the site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe conditions specific to the environment.
  • Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Operate and monitor access control systems, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs as required by site procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence and provide assistance or information to employees, contractors, and visitors as needed.
  • Communicate with site management, local authorities, and Allied Universal supervisors regarding any security-related matters.
