Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk Monitor in Newberry, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and managing badge access at a major food and beverage location. Your presence and attention to detail will help maintain a secure environment, while your customer service skills will support positive interactions with employees and visitors. Requirements

Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
Verify the credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, ensuring compliance with access control protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
Document and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations observed during shifts.
Collaborate with on-site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support operational needs.
