Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points at the manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the site to maintain proper access procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access-related inquiries and directions.
Carry out site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to observe for irregularities and report any security-related concerns.
Maintain detailed records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Support emergency response activities as directed and communicate with management and/or emergency services when needed.
