As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere. Your presence and attention to detail will support a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This is a driving post. Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
- Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activities.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures and general inquiries.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating when necessary according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual conditions or activities.
- Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Support emergency response activities according to site-specific guidelines and Allied Universal procedures.
- Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment at the location.
