About The Position

As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, interacting with personnel and visitors, and upholding Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity or potential hazards.
Help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or other security-related incidents through a visible presence and attention to site protocols.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors while supporting site operations in a chemical or petrochemical environment.
