As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a steel manufacturing-focused location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves engaging with the public, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining communication throughout your shift. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including support during emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing site and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site contacts regarding incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrols, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
