As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the education location. You will monitor assigned areas, respond to situations as needed, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with staff, students, and visitors. Requirements
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the educational environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols in the educational setting.
- Collaborate with campus personnel and public response teams to support a welcoming and secure environment for all individuals at the location.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
