About The Position

As a Security Guard - Commercial Site - Weekdays in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with tenants, guests, and staff, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders within a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and respond to access control concerns, alarms, and suspicious activity by verifying authorized entry and reporting irregularities per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete detailed shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and service requests, and communicate updates during shift turnover using approved reporting channels.
