About The Position

As a Security Guard - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecommunications location, you will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist with access points and visitor flow as needed. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will deliver helpful customer service, clear communication, and teamwork while living Allied Universal values of integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor identification and/or credentials when required, and assist with employee and vendor check-in processes in accordance with site policy.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate noteworthy conditions and/or maintenance concerns to site leadership per post orders.
