As an Allied Universal Security Officer specializing in access control at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and manage entry points to maintain a secure environment. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directing them as needed in accordance with site-specific policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and protocols.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site guidelines.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to support emergency response activities when appropriate.
Maintain awareness of surroundings to help to deter potential threats or suspicious activity within the utilities environment.
