As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare and pharmaceutical facility areas, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, as conditions vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards; help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior through professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate pertinent information during shift handoff.
