As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must have a clean motor vehicle record
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, watching for suspicious activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Monitor cameras, radios, and communication systems as assigned, document observations, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate parties.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and assist with visitor management and wayfinding in accordance with site policies.
