About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Rover Patrol in Beachwood, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine rounds and timely reporting. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication, supporting a caring environment. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management by observing traffic flow, providing directions, and reporting access concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or facility personnel as needed.
  • Complete detailed documentation such as shift activity reports and incident reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
