About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Rover in QUEENS, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor management, respond to alarms and calls for service, and document observations with clear reports. With a caring culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovation, you will deliver a professional presence and strong customer service for tenants, guests, and staff.

Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, notifying management and/or emergency services, and following post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and building activity as assigned, including checking credentials where required, documenting visitor and/or contractor activity, and helping to maintain orderly entry and exit.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in a timely manner, communicating relevant updates to site management and Allied Universal supervision.
