About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with courteous service. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and policy violations, and notify designated contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of classrooms, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or inappropriate activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management practices, including verifying identification when required and/or directing guests to approved check-in locations.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives, and participate in drills and/or special events as assigned.
