As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, assist with access control and incident reporting, and deliver outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, public areas, and perimeter points to help to identify suspicious activity, unsecured areas, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and screening areas as assigned, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinate with site personnel and public emergency services as needed, and provide clear directions during evacuations and/or other response actions.
  • Complete detailed written reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts using required communication methods.
