About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service while documenting activity and using computer and/or tablet tools as needed. Requirements

Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, corridors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and observe for suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unusual conditions, then document and report findings according to site procedures.
Complete detailed reports and logs, including incident documentation and shift activity records, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
