As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will observe and report activity, support access control points, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including summoning assistance and coordinating with site personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
  • Complete routine activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and follow escalation and notification procedures.
