About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visibly present to help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and visitor logs; assist with badge checks and/or guest verification according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and suspicious activity; coordinate with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports on daily activities, patrol observations, and incident response actions; communicate status updates to supervision and site stakeholders per post orders.
