As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Southfield, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering standout customer service and clear communication to tenants and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, and/or assisting with access control and general inquiries.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying the appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the commercial property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or property management.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by post orders, including guiding occupants, monitoring egress points, and coordinating with public responders when requested.
