About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol terminals, checkpoints, and surrounding areas, completing routine rounds and staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to requests for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with travelers, staff, and public partners. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government airport location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with airport operations and local emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeter zones, and other assigned areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials as directed, and report suspicious or prohibited activity according to post orders.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, maintain awareness of changing conditions, and assist with crowd control and/or passenger guidance during peak travel periods.
