Join Allied Universal at a utilities location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will report concerns, support site rules, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Complete security-related reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate notable observations to supervisors and/or client contacts.
