As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will drive between assigned areas and conduct routine patrols, staying highly visible to help discourage security-related issues. You will respond to resident needs with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and escalating concerns as needed. Requirements

• A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, community rules, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders and/or site leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential streets, amenities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor gates, parking areas, and common areas for unusual activity, document findings, and report maintenance hazards and/or property concerns through the designated reporting process.
• Complete routine reports such as patrol logs, incident reports, and visitor and/or vendor activity records in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and site requirements.
