As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to resident needs with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, report concerns, and work as part of a team that acts with integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential streets, amenities, parking areas, and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity, property concerns, and/or maintenance issues to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and community rules by verifying resident and visitor information as required, documenting entries, and/or directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and resident complaints in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from supervisors and/or local emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete timely reports and logs, including incident reports and patrol activity documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
