You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver top-tier customer service through clear communication and quick response. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the technology-focused location, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe arriving and departing visitors and vendors, and help to deter unauthorized entry by checking identification and/or directing guests according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance to staff and/or visitors as needed and escalating per post orders.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and policy exceptions in daily reports and communicate key updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
