As a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will engage with shoppers, tenants, and employees through strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and responding to issues as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout interior common areas, storefront corridors, loading and service areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, parking areas, and high-traffic zones for unusual activity; provide directions and assistance, and/or coordinate with property management and local responders as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations, actions taken, and any follow-up needed per site requirements.
• Control access to restricted back-of-house areas by verifying credentials, observing deliveries and vendor activity, and/or reporting suspicious behavior according to site-specific procedures.
